Introducing Creator Spotlight: Meet Soozaphone
This week at The Gizmo Grotto we are excited to introduce something new we are building called our Creator Spotlight.
Our goal has always been to be more than just a place that prints things. We want to help grow a real maker and technology hub by highlighting the incredible people who design, invent, experiment, and share their work with the world.
Our first spotlight features Soozaphone, also known as mechanical engineer Gabe Rosiak. He is the creator behind the incredibly popular Dummy 13 and Lucky 13 articulated action figure models that many people in the 3D printing community know and love. His work focuses on complex, poseable designs inspired by things like Lego systems and transforming robots, and many of his creations are released freely for the community to print and build themselves.
He has also been developing new projects such as Carbon 13, continuing to push the design and engineering behind articulated printable figures. Creators like this represent exactly what we love about the maker movement. Creativity, engineering, and people sharing knowledge so others can build on it.
We are currently building a Creator Spotlight section on TheGizmoGrotto.com where we will feature more designers like this over time.
